Sacred Valley of the Incas
The valley is between Pisac and Ollantaytambo population.
The walk begins on the Archeological Park of Saqsaywaman. This park with 3000 hs of extension islocated on the north of the city of cusco and it has the following archeological monuments: Saqsaywaman, the incas called it “Casa del Sol” and the Spanish “La Fortaleza”; Quenqo, old ceremonial center, Puca Pucara dedicated to water and Laqo, Lanlakuyoc and Cusilluchayoc, centers of ceremony.
Cusco has got mysterious streets that makes it “sacred”. It has survived to time and the magic in which visitors fall in love. Many people decide to stay here.
Geographic Location and Weather
The Sacred Valley isE located at 15 km at the north of Cusco. Its heigh is 2800 m above sea which brings it a nice weather. It has 2 seasons: rains and dryness.
The wet time is between November and April. It rains all time. On this time the mountains are green and the temperature is warm. On nights is very cold and can cool more. The sky full of stars is an spectacular view.
The Sacred Valley has a very nice weather and you can stay well of health.
You will never get hot because a nice breeze blows here.
