Floating Isles of the Uros
Its located from 40 minutes by boat to Puno. The Uros are one of the attractive at the world tourism. They are floating isles constructed by a lot of vegetation of totora and llachu, also called Khili.
For its conservation the knitting of the totora is due every 3 months.
The Uros population is a society that worked with the hunt and fishing. Now they work making small boat of totora, dissecting animals and the artesany.
Uros is protected by the National Reserve of the Titicaca Lake.
Taquile Island
Is located for 2 and a half hours by boat. At 4,050 msnm and 240 mts on the isle. By the level of the lake, people here are authentic, they speak quechua and dress originally.
Taquille is a isle with a great view, its population are dedicated to the agriculture, fishing and artesany. People there remain its original traditions and Incas laws. The wedding (Sirvinacuy), the pay to the earth (Pachamama) their main gods (Apus)
The visit here is approximately 3 hours 15:00 pm and you return to Puno at 17:30 pm.
Amantani Island
From Puno, far 3 hours in boat, we arrive to the Amantani Isle. You walk and can see 2 ceremonial places: Pachatata and Pachamama PACHATATA is a sacred place on the mountain where once a year they put the ritual religious offering. In front of this there is the ceremonial place PACHAMAMA, where the practice the ritual ceremonies to their cosmic gods and the main gods they are dedicated to the agriculture, potatoes, ocas, barley and the fish like pejerrey, carache, trucha and ispi.
